Lane's lifelong special interest in technology began with repairing household electronics as a child, and led to her pursuing a degree in electrical engineering. She spent 8 years at Lockheed Martin developing and testing cockpit displays, interfacing with subcontractors, and building leadership skills. After leaving her career to become a full-time mom, her special interest shifted into self-directed study of website development and coding, and experimentation with a variety of online applications used for design, marketing, planning, and organization.
